Arkansas CCsmart Campaign Wraps Up (October 7, 2024)

ACC partnered with Phi Theta Kappa, with support from the Lumina Foundation, to launch a digital community college promotional campaign aimed at high school students, parents, and counselors. The six-week campaign had more than 3.8 million impressions. The primary source of traffic was Facebook, followed closely by banner ads. Instagram and video ads increased exposure among younger audiences. The Arkansas Division of Higher Education and many community colleges also participated in the campaign. READ MORE

ACC Hosts Annual Workforce Summit (May 13, 2024)

ACC hosted its annual Workforce Summit. Community college workforce leaders from around the state gathered to network and learn about state-level workforce development activities. The attendees heard from Justin Majors, Director of Existing Business Resources at the Arkansas Economic Development Commission. Justin highlighted the Arkansas Workforce Assessment report created by AEDC and the intersection of workforce and economic development. Dr. Tina Moore, Director of Workforce Development at the Division of Higher Education, provided an overview of the Credentials of Value work she is leading and how the LEARNS Act provides an opportunity for institutions of higher education. Kyla Waters, Director of the Center for Workforce at ACC, discussed the Arkansas workforce landscape and how the state-level workforce activities connect to community colleges. Collin Callaway, Senior Policy Director at ACC, led a discussion of the new ADHE non-credit workforce reporting process and gathered feedback from the attendees.
