Since 1997, ACC’s Center for Workforce has led member colleges in promoting and expanding world-class workforce training opportunities for high-wage, high-demand jobs tied directly to the needs of business.

Initiatives

Broadband Expansion Initiative: ACC is the project manager for a $3.3 million initiative funded through the Office of Skills Development to train new broadband and telecommunication industry workers and close the gap in the state’s digital infrastructure.

Transfr Virtual Reality: With funding through the Office of Skills Development, ACC is expanding the use of the virtual reality for career exploration by integrating virtual reality into curriculum.

Talent Pipeline Management Academy: ACC recently led a statewide team of workforce leaders in the Talent Pipeline Management Academy, funded through the US Chamber of Commerce Foundation, to train business, workforce, and economic development leaders on a customizable strategy to align career pathways with business needs.
