The Hospitality Suite will be open on Sunday and Monday from 7 - 10 p.m. in the Hotel Hot Springs on the 13th floor.
time warp Trivia SCHOLARSHiP COMPETITION
The Time Warp Trivia Scholarship Competition will take place on Sunday, October 13, from 7 - 9 p.m. in the Hotel Hot Springs Second Floor Ballroom. Teams of 2-10 will compete for a $500 scholarship to be awarded to their 2024 Academic All-Star of choice. Don’t have a team? That’s ok! Just show up and join a team on site. Don’t forget to channel your inner Neo or don your Starfleet uniform, because there will be prizes for the best-dressed futuristic player!
Academic All-Star RAFFLE
The Academic All-Star Raffle will be open on Monday, October 14, from 8 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. in the Hot Springs Convention Center Grand Lobby. Purchase tickets on site for $1 each for a chance to win items donated by ACC member colleges. Proceeds support the ACC Student Leadership Academy. Winners will be announced immediately following the close of the raffle during the Networking Reception from 4:30 - 5 p.m.
sponsor table trek
Attendees are encouraged to visit with the sponsors who have made this event possible. Each attendee will receive a Sponsor Table Trek scorecard. Visit a sponsor table to earn a point; earn points to earn entries into a raffle for prizes donated by our member institutions. Sponsor Table Trek will take place on Monday, October 14, from 8 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. Prizes will be drawn during the Networking Reception from 4:30 - 5 p.m.
Academic All-Star Awards Ceremony & Networking Lunch
Help us recognize the Academic All-Star students from each institution at the Academic All-Star Awards Ceremony & Networking Lunch on Monday, October 14, at 12 p.m. Students from each institution will be recognized for their accomplishments and invited to meet with representatives from 4-year universities. Each college will have one reserved table at the front for awardees, their guests, and administrators. All other seating is open to encourage greater networking. *Please note the schedule change from prior years.
Networking reception
A Networking Reception will be held on Monday, October 14, from 4 - 5 p.m. in the Hot Springs Convention Center Plaza Lobby and Grand Lobby. From 4 - 4:30 p.m., attendees are encouraged to visit the Academic All-Star Raffle and sponsor booths. From 4:30 - 5 p.m., winners will be drawn and announced.
NETWORKING DINNERS
No dinner plans on Monday? Meet in the Hotel Hot Springs Lobby at 6:30 p.m. and join a group for a casual Networking Dinner at one of the many great restaurants within walking distance of the convention center. ACC will coordinate, but attendees will pay for their own meals. *This event is for attendees and their guests to network, and is not intended for sponsors. Please indicate if you are interested in participating when completing your registration so that we can make appropriate reservations.
Karaoke at Maxine’s
Attendees are invited to join their colleagues and new friends for Karaoke at Maxine’s Live on Monday night around 9pm. No judges and no prizes, just some good (and bad) singing and entertainment.
Poker Run/Walk
The Poker Run/Walk will take place Tuesday, October 15, at 7 a.m. Participants should meet at the corner of Convention Blvd and Laurel near the Convention Center entrance closest to the Embassy Suites for this fun run/walk through beautiful downtown Hot Springs. Participants will collect playing cards along the route. The person with the best hand at the end will win a pair of Apple Air Pods. All participants will receive a prize. The college with the most participants also wins a prize. Total distance is approximately two miles.
Outstanding Faculty/Staff awards ceremony & Networking Brunch
Celebrate your colleagues at the Outstanding Faculty & Staff Awards Ceremony & Networking Brunch on Tuesday, October 15, at 10 a.m. The Outstanding Faculty and Outstanding Staff from each member institution will be recognized. Because all faculty and staff deserved to be recognized, we will be giving out two Apple iPads at this event. Each college will have one reserved table at the front for awardees, their guests, and administrators.
